Founding Story
Neil Chudleigh built Superwhisper out of frustration with the native dictation capabilities of macOS, which he found inaccurate, required manual punctuation, and had audio capture issues. He wanted an offline, cross-language, and configurable replacement that worked in any application. After building a high-quality version for himself as a side project to 'scratch his own itch,' he received overwhelming positive feedback from hundreds of users, leading him to turn the project into a commercial product launched on Product Hunt on July 24, 2023.
