Founded as DeskOver in a small apartment in Bucharest by Daniel Dines and Marius Tirca. Originally a software outsourcing shop, it pivoted to RPA in 2013 after developing automation libraries for enterprise clients, rebranding to UiPath in 2015 to focus exclusively on the automation market.
