Founding Story
Brian Raymond started Unstructured in July 2022 after seeing at Primer.ai how difficult it was for organizations to use messy, human-generated data with AI. The initial vision was to remove the data-ingestion and preprocessing bottleneck by automatically extracting, cleaning and staging enterprise documents for large language models; the project began with an open-source library and expanded into APIs and an enterprise platform.
