Products & Services
AI-powered voice dictation platform that turns speech into clear, polished writing in every app. Works across Mac and Windows with 4x faster typing speed (220 wpm vs 45 wpm typing). Features AI auto-edits, personal dictionary, snippet library, command mode, and supports 100+ languages with automatic detection. Achieves over 80% zero-edit rate with ~10% error rate compared to 27% for OpenAI Whisper and 47% for Apple's native transcription. Seamlessly works within IDEs for voice coding.
AI voice dictation app for iPhone that transcribes what you say right from the iPhone keyboard. Supports same features as desktop including AI commands, auto-edits, and 100+ languages. Cross-device sync for personal dictionary and notes.
Android version currently in development with beta waitlist available.
Market Position
Wispr Flow positions itself as the first consumer voice dictation platform that makes people want to use voice more than keyboards, achieving an 80%+ zero-edit rate compared to traditional dictation tools. With a ~10% error rate vs 27% for OpenAI Whisper and 47% for Apple's native transcription, Flow is building proprietary voice models for personalized ASR rather than relying solely on general-purpose LLMs. The company differentiates by prioritizing zero-edit-rate over raw word accuracy, deep contextual understanding, low latency (responds instantly), and building toward a voice-native operating system rather than just a dictation feature. Key competitors include Willow, Aqua, Monologue, Typeless, TalkTastic, SuperWhisper, BetterDictation, Otter.ai (meeting transcription), Dragon Dictation, and native Apple/Google voice typing.

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Co-founders Tanay Kothari and Sahaj Garg, who worked together at Stanford's top AI labs under Andrew Ng and Stefano Ermon, initially started Wispr in 2021 with the vision to build a wearable device that would allow users to type just by mouthing words silently - a thought-powered neural interface inspired by Tanay's childhood obsession with Iron Man's Jarvis. After three years of designing this wearable using non-invasive neural interfaces that read biosignals from the body (specifically EMG sensors), they realized AI technology wasn't advanced enough yet. They pivoted to focus on software, building Wispr Flow as the foundational voice layer to eventually enable their vision of a voice-native operating system.
