Starting June 1, 2026, every Copilot plan Free, Pro ($10/mo), Pro+ ($39/mo), Business, Enterprise moves to AI Credits-based billing.
Code completions and Next Edit suggestions remain unlimited and don't consume credits, but any premium model request GPT-4o, o3, Claude Sonnet, Gemini Pro, etc. now draws from a monthly credit pool, with overages billable on top.
A new Max plan at $100/mo ships alongside it (10K base + 10K flex credits).
All individual plans gain a credit pool; Pro/Pro+ get a "flex allotment" bonus through September while teams adjust.
New Max plan at $100/mo competes directly with Claude Code Max.
Code completions are still unlimited, only premium model calls spend credits.
