Aether Runtime, Inc.
Aether runs autonomous coding agents in isolated cloud devboxes that developers can watch, steer, SSH into, and verify. It supplies the machine, oversight, and review loop while letting users bring the Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode subscription they already pay for.

Latest News
Aether publicly launched as a cloud runtime for coding agents using existing Claude or ChatGPT subscriptions.
Platform runtime templates received stricter handoffs and exact ready-template promotion.
Mobile settings expanded toward native-app parity, including Apple identity, PR auto-archive, notifications, and account settings.
Agent campaigns launched, enabling parent tasks to spawn, monitor, merge, and receive results from child agents.
Products & Services
Cloud development platform where an AI agent writes code, runs tests, starts dev servers, opens a real browser, and verifies applications in an isolated workspace. Each task gets a watchable cloud devbox with terminal, file tree, live previews, persistent storage, and SSH access.
Automated pull-request reviews that run the code rather than only inspecting the diff, produce inline findings and a verdict, and can include before/after screenshots and video proof from a real browser.
Command-line interface for starting and streaming cloud tasks, connecting repositories, managing billing, and operating Aether from a terminal; distributed through the Aether Homebrew tap.
Delegates reviews, investigations, or independent changes from an existing coding-agent conversation; campaigns split larger work across child agents, while scheduled jobs can run nightly, daily, or weekly.
Market Position
Aether differentiates from black-box cloud coding agents by giving each agent a visible, interactive devbox, streaming every command, allowing the user to take over or SSH in, and attaching runtime evidence to pull requests. Its launch materials position it against other cloud-agent offerings such as Devin and Conductor Cloud while emphasizing use of the customer's existing model subscription and compute-only billing.
Leadership
Founders
Pranav Sharan
Founder and CEO. Previously built infrastructure at Apple, Skyflow, and HeyGen; reporting also identifies work on Apple's Siri Search team, Skyflow data pipelines and governance, HeyGen's payments system, and founding-engineer work at Lemon Slice. He also built BeatGen, an agentic music-production tool, and studied computer science at Penn State.
Executive Team
Pranav Sharan
Founder and CEO
Previously worked on infrastructure at Apple, Skyflow, and HeyGen; also a founding engineer at Lemon Slice and creator of BeatGen.
Founding Story
Pranav Sharan started Aether after relying heavily on Claude Code and Codex and finding local workflows fragile: he had to keep a laptop open and tethered, babysit command approvals, and ran out of RAM when running agents in parallel. Existing cloud agents solved some of those problems but hid work inside black-box VMs, so Aether was conceived as a visible, steerable cloud machine with real execution and verification; the core thesis is that trust in AI-written code comes from visibility and verification.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Compute-only subscriptions and one-time credit-pack purchases. Aether meters cloud VM and device runtime in credits; model calls may be paid through Aether inference or the customer's own provider account, and the company says it does not charge a second AI subscription for the customer's existing Claude or ChatGPT plan.
Pricing Tiers
20 credits/month and 1 warm slot
400 credits/month and 2 warm slots
2,000 credits/month and 3 warm slots
4,000 credits/month and 5 warm slots
100 credits for $10, 250 for $25, 500 for $50, or 1,000 for $100; pack credits do not expire
