Introducing the Universal Managed Agents API
Products & Services
Managed cloud for deploying, hosting, orchestrating, routing, evaluating, observing and scaling production agents across frontier and open-source models and multiple harnesses.
A common API and request/response shape for creating, running and streaming agents and orchestrations across models and harnesses, with registry, managed authentication and sandbox support.
Enterprise platform for creating highly specialized AI employees/workers for business workflows, announced as leveraging AWS and Amazon Bedrock.
Brainbase's in-house agent harness for orchestration, evaluations and production agents.
Market Position
Brainbase positions itself as an AI agent cloud and universal control plane rather than a single-model chatbot or narrow workflow automation tool. It differentiates through model/harness neutrality, a managed runtime and sandbox layer, orchestration, evaluation-before-shipping, observability, registry/versioning and enterprise deployment controls. The company contrasts its internal-agent focus with specialist external-agent companies such as Harvey and Legora; adjacent competitors include Retool, LangChain/LangSmith, Vellum, Humanloop, Braintrust, Modal and other agent-runtime/evaluation platforms.
Leadership
Founders
Gokhan Egri
Founder and CEO. He previously co-founded and served as CEO of Leo, an AI grader, and was a Harvard computer-science/machine-learning PhD student before dropping out to build Brainbase. Before that he built more than 15 apps with over 50,000 downloads.
Executive Team
Gokhan Egri
Founder and CEO
Previously co-founder and CEO of Leo, an AI grader; former Harvard CS/machine-learning PhD student who left the program to build Brainbase.
Founding Story
Gokhan Egri left his Harvard machine-learning PhD and joined Y Combinator to build Brainbase after seeing repetitive business workflows as a large opportunity for automation. The initial vision was to let companies create customized, always-on AI workers for complex enterprise workflows rather than rely on generic, unreliable automation tools; Brainbase later evolved from an AI-workforce product into an AI agent cloud for production deployment and orchestration.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Paid SaaS/platform subscriptions for managed agent hosting, scaling, API access, orchestration, evaluations, observability and support, with enterprise custom pricing and options such as volume pricing, hybrid/on-prem deployment and embedded engineering. Usage is funded through platform credits.
