Founding Story
Cloudless Voice is the renamed and expanded continuation of Onit Dictate. The team says it chose the Cloudless name to make its privacy-first premise explicit: voice never touches the cloud. The initial Onit vision grew from building local, source-available AI software and evolved into a free, on-device alternative to cloud dictation tools such as Wispr Flow, initially focused on Mac and later expanded to Windows and iOS.
