Continue Dev, Inc.
Continue provides an open-source AI coding assistant that enables developers to create, customize, and share contextual AI assistants. The platform integrates with development environments like VS Code and JetBrains, allowing users to connect to any AI model and pull in context from external data sources.
Founding Story
Founded in June 2023 by Ty Dunn and Nate Sesti, Continue emerged from the founders' collaborative work on side projects while exploring the intersection of AI and developer tools. The company participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2023 batch and received its initial funding at the end of YC S23 to build an open-source toolkit for working with LLMs and deliver Continue for teams.
