Products & Services
Open-source IDE extensions for VS Code and JetBrains that enable developers to use any LLM (local or cloud-hosted) directly in their workflow. Features include highlighting code to collect context, managing context sources, writing custom slash commands, and creating goal-oriented agents.
A hub (hub.continue.dev) for creating, managing, and sharing custom AI code assistants and configurations. Enables developers to discover and share pre-built assistants and 'blocks' (models, rules, prompts, and MCP servers) across organizations.
Platform to run AI agents on every pull request to handle code reviews, fix errors, and automate manual tasks. Features include automated merge conflict resolution, CI failure fixes, accessibility checks, security reviews, test coverage enforcement, and automatic documentation updates.
Market Position
Continue positions itself as the leading open-source alternative to proprietary AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot and Cursor. Key differentiators include: full customization and flexibility (any LLM, any model), data privacy and local control (users keep their data), open-source Apache 2.0 license avoiding vendor lock-in, model-agnostic architecture supporting multiple AI providers, and a focus on 'amplifying' rather than 'automating' developers. The platform emphasizes community collaboration through its hub for sharing custom assistants and configurations.
