A single-binary device-connectivity component that registers remote machines as Yao nodes, synchronizes workspaces, supports Docker/Kubernetes auto-discovery, NAT traversal, VNC/web access, and encrypted tunnels.
A capability gateway for AI models, structured decisions, image, video, audio, OCR, search, fetch, and embeddings, accessed through one key and billed in credits.
Market Position
Infinite Wisdom Software positions Yao as a local-first, self-hosted alternative to cloud-only agent platforms: agents run on customer-controlled machines, can span multiple devices, and expose standard APIs while retaining privacy and on-premise control. Its differentiation is the combination of a runtime engine, a cross-device layer, a task/mission workspace, extensible experts, and a metered capability gateway in one product family.
Founding Story
The company says it built Yao Engine in 2022 as an open-source application engine using a DSL to describe business logic and generate code. As AI became capable of generating and reviewing code, the team shifted its focus from coding tools toward domain expertise and outcome-oriented autonomous agents, combining Yao Engine with AI agents to create Yao Agents.
