Founding Story
Keel Labs was founded by design students Tessa Callaghan and Aleksandra Gosiewski at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to address the issue of textile waste. They sought to transform material science by using seaweed-derived biopolymers to create a regenerative, low-impact fiber alternative to conventional textiles.
