Introducing AI Platform Traffic Visibility in Kentik
Products & Services
Cloud platform combining network telemetry, flow and routing analysis, device and capacity data, dashboards, alerting, APIs and enriched data processing.
Agentic AI assistant that reasons over Kentik telemetry, executes multi-step investigations, explains its evidence and recommends actions for troubleshooting, capacity, cost, performance and security.
Network monitoring system for up/down status, interface statistics, hardware components, routing protocols and streaming telemetry.
Cloud and hybrid-network visibility, migration analysis, cloud-path troubleshooting, routing analytics, security validation and cost/performance optimization.
Market Position
Kentik positions itself as a network-intelligence layer rather than a general application-observability tool: it combines high-scale flow, routing, cloud-path, device and synthetic data with network-specific analytics and AI-guided investigation. Common alternatives and competitors include Cisco ThousandEyes, Datadog, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, NETSCOUT, LogicMonitor, Grafana-based stacks, Splunk and traditional network-monitoring platforms; Kentik emphasizes depth of network visibility, multi-cloud coverage and network-operator workflows.

Board of Directors
Founding Story
Avi Freedman and colleagues saw that network operators were forced to stitch together slow, fragmented tools or build their own systems to ingest, store and analyze high-resolution flow data. They started Kentik as CloudHelix in 2014 to provide a scalable, cloud-hosted, real-time infrastructure data platform with long-term retention, DDoS/anomaly detection and open access through a portal and API; the company later launched Kentik Detect.
