Products & Services
Compact single, dual and triple magnetic encoders for robot joints and other demanding equipment. The portfolio emphasizes minimum 5 mm height/width, hollow-shaft mounting, automatic tolerance compensation and arcsecond-level accuracy.
A 20 mm × 35 mm, 35 g integrated joint combining a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, reducer, triple encoder and driver; offered in 50:1 and 100:1 ratios with RS485, 3–4× overload capability, backdrivability and force feedback.
A six-legged crab robot with 22 tactile servos, walking, jumping and grasping, an onboard camera and dToF sensor, approximately two hours of battery life, and an open-source simulation/training/deployment stack.
Companion open-source repository for Jumper appearance and scene design, including skins, maps and creative customization workflows.
Market Position
KingKong positions its encoders against conventional optical, inductive, capacitive, resolver and traditional magnetic solutions by combining a much smaller footprint with high resolution, hollow-shaft installation, low power and dynamic tolerance. Its own site says the DPT series holds roughly 80% of the robot-joint magnetic-encoder market; third-party coverage likewise describes it as a leading supplier to humanoid-robot makers. Jumper differentiates through an open-source crab-robot hardware/software and AI-motion ecosystem.
Leadership
Founders
Liang Zheng
Founder. He initially set out to build robot end products, then redirected the company toward robot encoders after finding that available components could not simultaneously meet the team's needs for performance, size and cost.
Founding Story
Liang Zheng and his team originally targeted robot end products, but discovered that the market lacked an encoder that met their requirements across precision, compactness and cost. They consequently focused on magnetic encoders as the foundational sensing component—the robot equivalent of a nervous system—and built KingKong around a proprietary patterned-magnetic measurement approach.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Hardware sales of magnetic encoders, tactile servos and robot products; the company also publishes open-source Jumper software and design repositories to support an ecosystem around its robot hardware.
