Magick is an open-source visual AIDE (AI Development Environment) that lets people design, develop, and deploy intelligent agents through a node-based, drag-and-drop interface instead of writing code. The stated goal is to make building multimodal, real-time AI agents accessible to both non-developers and experienced engineers, while staying LLM-agnostic and community-driven.

Products & Services
Open-source visual AI Development Environment for building and deploying AI agents via a node-graph interface. Composed of three parts: the Portal (account and agent management), the IDE (visual spell/graph editor), and the Engine (runtime that executes agents). Distributed as a self-hostable open-source repo plus a hosted beta at magickml.com.
Market Position
Magick differentiates on being fully open source and model-agnostic in a category dominated by closed hosted platforms. Its emphasis on real-time, event-driven agents with unified memory and social/game connectors (Discord, Twitter, Twilio, Unreal Engine) positions it closer to character and companion agents than to enterprise workflow automation. With 841 GitHub stars and 138 forks it has meaningful but modest community traction relative to larger visual agent-builder projects.

Founding Story
Oneirocom Systems Inc. was formed in 2022 in Nelson, British Columbia, and opened the Magick GitHub organization in April 2022, with the Magick repository itself created in November 2022. The codebase traces part of its lineage to Thoth, an earlier (now archived) project from Latitude Games, whose original contributors are credited in the Magick README. The team built Magick in the open on GitHub and Discord as a node-graph IDE for 'spells' — visual agent workflows — and positioned it as an open-source alternative to closed agent-building platforms.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Open-core: the Magick AIDE is open source and self-hostable, with a hosted cloud beta at magickml.com monetized through metered, usage-based billing.
Pricing Tiers
The site advertises metered billing — 'only pay for the resources you use' — but no dollar amounts are exposed on the public marketing site; specific rates are not publicly retrievable and require signing in to the Portal.
The full Magick repository is publicly available on GitHub and can be run locally or self-hosted at no license cost.
