Founding Story
Oraios AI — derived from the Greek word for 'beautiful' — was founded in 2024 by friends and long-time collaborators Dominik Jain and Michael Panchenko. Their goal was to launch an independent venture dedicated to delivering genuine value to customers through deep AI expertise and operational efficiency. With decades of collective in-house experience across demanding projects, industries, and domains, they focus on building the right systems by combining engineering rigor with efficiency.

Previously Applied Research Lead at jambit for 11 years, working on Graph-SLAM, probabilistic map-matching, multi-agent planning, and mobility forecasting. Core maintainer of Tianshou reinforcement learning library. Certificate in Technology Management from CDTM.
Michael Panchenko
AI researcher with master's degrees in mathematics and theoretical physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (2015). Former researcher in theoretical physics at LMU Munich. Lead AI Researcher at appliedAI Initiative since 2020, working on reinforcement learning for electron microscopes and large language model applications. University-level teaching experience in physics and mathematics, as well as industry trainings in ML engineering and Bayesian methods. Core maintainer of Tianshou reinforcement learning library.
