    Rio Blocks

Rio Blocks is a software engineering studio in Rio de Janeiro that builds high-performance, distributed systems other teams depend on — APIs, indexers, real-time data pipelines, developer tooling and full-stack applications. It grew out of EOS Rio's blockchain infrastructure work and now operates as both a client-services studio and a venture builder shipping its own products.

    BentoKit.ai

A modular operating system for autonomous agents, shipped as a self-hosted single binary with zero runtime dependencies. Combines a canvas UI that is part of the agent runtime (agents create windows, arrange grids, adapt themes), peer federation via mDNS with Ed25519 verification and no central server, memory isolation enforced at the storage layer across four privacy levels, temporal awareness with self-scheduling and polling/webhook/websocket/file-watch/cron triggers, private task boards with five states and five goal horizons, human-in-the-loop approval, audit trails and multi-provider model support.

    Tribuno.ai

Litigation intelligence platform built on BentoKit, targeting Brazilian legal teams (Portuguese-language product). Ingests and classifies case documents — value, parties, jurisdiction, theme and thesis with confidence scores — then produces risk probabilities, financial exposure, settlement ranges and jurimetry patterns across a portfolio. Includes a natural-language case assistant, verified jurisprudence tracking that flags invented authorities, real-time court publication monitoring, and a review workflow where AI suggests and lawyers finalize.

    AfterPic

AI photo editor for creators and e-commerce (v1.9.2). Style transfer, photoshoot themes (corporate headshots, wedding, maternity), relighting presets, a Product Studio for e-commerce photography, a Dressing Room for outfit extraction and virtual try-on, restoration and recoloring, text-to-image and scribble-to-image generation, and AI upscaling.

    Market Position

Rio Blocks is unusual in that its credibility comes from infrastructure nobody markets: Hyperion is the default full-history solution across Antelope chains, which is a real moat in a narrow ecosystem. The rebrand from EOS Rio is a bet that the same distributed-systems discipline transfers to AI agents and vertical SaaS. BentoKit is the clearest expression of that — self-hosted single binary, peer federation with no central server, storage-layer memory isolation — positioning it against cloud agent platforms for teams who will not send data off-premise. The trade-off is focus: a three-partner studio simultaneously running block production, client services, an agent OS, a Brazilian legal-tech product and a consumer photo editor is spread thin, and none of the newer products publish pricing or customer counts.

    Leadership

    Founders

    IL

    Igor Lins e Silva

Automation and control engineer and machine-learning masters dropout; early EOS adopter and the principal author of Hyperion History API and SimplEOS. Regarded as one of the most knowledgeable engineers in the EOSIO/Antelope ecosystem. GitHub: @igorls. Equal partner (33.33%) in EOS Rio.

    TC

    Thiago Canellas

Head of strategy and business development; 10+ years across startup roles with a top-tier management consulting background. Equal partner (33.33%) in EOS Rio.

    DD

    Dominique Deschatre

Bachelor's in digital media design from PUC-Rio. Also co-founder of carioca.build, a Rio de Janeiro software development company. Equal partner (33.33%) in EOS Rio.

    Founding Story

The team started in 2018 as EOS Rio, an independent block producer on EOS and later WAX, running validator infrastructure out of Rio de Janeiro. Producing blocks meant solving hard infrastructure problems for themselves first — most notably that EOSIO chains had no scalable way to query full history, which they answered with Hyperion, an open-source full-history API and indexer that became the most widely used in the ecosystem. That engineering practice generalized beyond blockchain, and the group rebranded as Rio Blocks: same distributed-systems discipline, now applied to AI agents, litigation intelligence, and developer tooling. Ownership stayed with the three original partners, split evenly at 33.33% each.

    Business Model

    Revenue Model

Two revenue lines: engineering-studio client services (custom high-performance systems, sold via direct contact rather than published rates) and a venture-builder product portfolio — BentoKit, Tribuno, AfterPic and the forthcoming myrank.dev. Block production on EOS and WAX provides network rewards. Open-source projects including Hyperion and SimplEOS are free and act as distribution.
