Products & Services
AI-enabled product and automation development services spanning discovery, prototyping, production polish, launch, measurement and scaling. Services include authentication, permissions, secrets, rate limits, monitoring, deployments, rollback, evaluations and observability.
Managed document-search and extraction API that processes large, messy PDFs and other files, including scanned pages, images, tables and diagrams. It provides vectorization, multimodal embeddings, isolated storage, search, retrieval and extraction capabilities, with SDK and n8n support.
A free, Three.js shader-powered gradient wave background generator that can generate, save and export designs to PNG, GIF or MP4. It includes presets, customizable layers, animation, typography and visual effects.
An MIT-licensed, Open Knowledge Format-based client knowledge-base template for Claude and other LLM agents. It uses linked Markdown files and repeatable agent procedures to organize clients, projects, people and documents without a database.
Market Position
Subworkflow positions itself as a small, AI-native software studio differentiated from conventional agencies by keeping the people who scope a project involved through code, launch and measurement, and by focusing on the production last mile rather than stopping at a demo. In document AI, Ragextract positions against generic document/RAG services through long-document support, multimodal search across text, images, charts and tables, grounded retrieval and usage-based pricing. Its competitive set includes AI product studios, low-code/n8n automation consultancies and document-intelligence/RAG API vendors.

Executive Team
Jim Le
Founder and Director
More than 15 years of commercial experience with digital agencies and startups; clients listed by Subworkflow include Levi Strauss, Gap, AlixPartners, EE and Deutsche Telekom.
Founding Story
Subworkflow says it exists because AI made building prototypes cheap but made reliable production shipping harder. The studio was started to explore that shift by using AI to build software, building software that uses AI, embedding with teams that need to move quickly, shipping its own products and documenting what it learns.
Business Model
Revenue Model
Project-based AI software development, automation consultancy, embedded engineering and training/workshops, supplemented by SaaS/API revenue from products such as Ragextract. Ragextract uses prepaid usage credits rather than a recurring subscription: customers pay for document ingestion and answers to questions/cells, while seats, workspaces, storage, integrations, API, MCP and agent skills are included.
Pricing Tiers
Ragextract charges 1 credit per uploaded page or image and 4–12 credits per answered cell/question. Sign-up includes 2,000 free credits; integrations, API/MCP/agent skills, seats, workspaces and storage are listed as free.
