GitHub previews Dynamic Workflows for repeatable agent orchestration
GitHub introduced Dynamic Workflows in public preview across Copilot CLI, the Copilot app and SDK. Developers write orchestration as code, with sequential or parallel agents, structured handoffs, verification steps, human checkpoints and pause/resume. Announcement.
The useful distinction is who defines the process: the developer writes the control flow, while agents reason inside its steps. Limits cover concurrency, agent count, active running time and approximate AI credits. Credit reporting can lag work already underway, so that last limit is not an exact spending ceiling. Current docs exclude legacy annual Pro/Pro+ subscriptions that remain on request-based billing; CLI access is experimental. Concepts and limits, Usage.
