Cursor 2.4 just landed today

So the big thing with this release is subagents. Instead of one agent doing everything in sequence, Cursor can now spin up smaller specialized agents that handle parts of your task in parallel. Each one gets its own context window so your main conversation stays focused.

They’ve also added image generation using Google’s Nano Banana Pro, and agents can now ask you clarifying questions without pausing their work.

The subagents piece feels like the real game changer here. Being able to break down a complex task and have multiple agents research, run commands, and make edits at the same time could seriously speed things up for bigger refactors or multi file changes.
