Agent Inbox

Agent Inbox (agentinbox.md) is built by Novu and gives AI agents a single inbox for reaching people over email, Slack, and Telegram. It is operated through a CLI and an MCP endpoint, and the homepage describes it as open source.

What It Is

Agent Inbox lets an agent create an inbox with its own email address, optionally connect Telegram and Slack, and handle all three channels in one shared inbox. Agents use the agentinbox CLI to send messages, list conversations, reply in a thread, and invite contacts. The homepage says no signup or credit card is required to create an inbox.

How the Workflow Works

After agentinbox setup, agentinbox send starts a new message and agentinbox reply answers an existing conversation, whichever channel it came from. Plain text is sent as a message, while text starting with ask, approve, or choose requests a structured answer from the human. Flags control attribution (--from), how long a request stays answerable (--ttl), blocking behavior (--timeout, --async), JSON output, recipients (--to), and channel (--via). Contacts can be listed and invited by name or email.
