About CallerKit
CallerKit is a Caller ID and phone lookup API for developers and businesses. It lets applications search by phone number, name, or email and receive structured contact data over a REST API. The site says its database covers over 3 billion phone numbers, with the most accurate results in Middle East and Arab countries.
What It Is
CallerKit is a developer-focused identity lookup service. A request with a phone number (plus country code), a name, or an email returns JSON with the primary name, aliases with confidence scores, spam count, emails and social profiles when available, and carrier and country info. Typical uses listed include CRM enrichment, caller ID and dialer apps, lead validation, fraud prevention by matching name to number, and B2B tools.
API and Authentication
Three APIs are offered: Caller ID and Phone Number Lookup, Name Search, and Email Search. Requests are sent to REST endpoints such as the phone number search endpoint with an API key header, and documentation includes code samples in cURL, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Go, plus an API playground. An AI Summary endpoint is also documented and requires the user's own Google Gemini API key stored in the dashboard. The FAQ states that multi-number lookup is not currently available, while the MCP tools list includes a bulk lookup tool.
MCP Server for AI Assistants
CallerKit provides an MCP server so Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients can look up numbers, assess fraud risk, and search by name or email using the same credits and plan rules as the REST API. A hosted remote connector uses OAuth with the user's API key, or the server can be run locally via npx with an API key environment variable. Tools include phone lookup, number risk assessment, bulk lookup, and name and email search (paid plans).
Security and Data Notes
The site describes encrypted transmissions, API key protection with request logging, and IP restrictions with usage-based limits. It states data is cached for performance and refreshed regularly rather than strictly real-time.
