Control Plane
A cloud virtualization platform that combines clouds, Kubernetes, bare metal and edge into one AI-native virtual cloud for deploying workloads.

About Control Plane
Control Plane, made by Control Plane Corporation, is a cloud virtualization platform that composes bare metal, Kubernetes clusters, VMs, and regions of AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI into a single virtual cloud called a Global Virtual Cloud (GVC). Workloads are deployed once and run across any combination of those substrates, with networking, identity, TLS, observability, and failover handled by the platform.
What It Is
Control Plane lifts every infrastructure substrate to one abstraction: a region of your GVC. Teams run containers (Standard, Stateful, Cron, and Serverless workload types), virtual machines, and sandboxes for AI coding agents. Per the FAQ, any Linux-compatible workload can run on it, targeting AMD64 or ARM, and VMs can run Windows or Linux. Workloads are defined through YAML, JSON, Terraform, Pulumi, the CLI, the console, or the REST API.
One Interface for Humans and AI Agents
The vendor describes a symmetric interface in which the console, CLI, IaC, REST API, and an MCP server expose the same actions, permissions, and audit trail. The MCP server connects agents such as Claude, Codex, Gemini, or any MCP-capable agent to the virtual cloud, and agent actions pass through the same identity, policy, and audit controls as human operators. Example prompts on the site show creating a GVC and deploying a workload through MCP.
Identity, Networking, and Services
Universal Cloud Identity lets workloads use services on AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI without embedded credentials. A built-in service mesh, per-workload firewalls that deny ingress and egress by default, and Cloud Wormhole tunnels into private networks provide connectivity. A native service library includes templates such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse, and Ollama. Built-in operations features include secrets management, a private image registry, volume sets, logs, metrics and tracing with Grafana dashboards and external export, and automatic TLS domains.
Cost and Compliance Claims
Control Plane states that its Capacity AI right-sizes workloads at runtime and that most customers cut cloud bills by 30-50%. It lists SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS Level 1, HIPAA, and GDPR coverage and an immutable audit trail.
