About Cue
Cue, made by Manus, lets you create personal agents that each have their own identity: a phone number, email address, wallet and a dedicated computer workspace. You give an agent a responsibility and context, set its permissions, and review the work as it progresses. The macOS download page currently notes that downloads are coming soon.
What It Is
Cue is a personal agent app for handling everyday life tasks. According to the site, an agent can take forwarded calls, send and receive email from its own address, pay with permissions you control, and keep working after you log off. Example tasks on the homepage include booking travel and restaurants, comparing repair options, arranging cleaning, monitoring availability for permits or appointments, and answering calls while you travel.
Agent Identity and Permissions
Each agent can be given a phone (make and take calls and messages from its own number), a wallet (payments within limits you set), a computer (a workspace with the apps and tools it needs) and mail. You choose what it can access and which actions need your approval, and the agent returns to you when a decision needs you.
Connectors, Routines and Group Chat
Cue connects to services such as Trip.com, Oura, Gmail and MyFitnessPal, with other apps mentioned, and you can define routines for steps you repeat. You can create distinct agents for different responsibilities and keep their work in one workspace, and bring agents together in a group chat to collaborate. A scan-and-create feature lets you scan a store's QR code to create an agent, for example to book a table.
