About Dely
Dely is an open-source (MIT) workflow plugin by hieuphung97 that takes a requested change through design approval, implementation, independent review, and a pull request that the user merges. It runs on top of Orca, which launches and supervises the separate worker sessions. The latest listed release is v0.24.1.
What It Is
Dely coordinates AI coding agent harnesses through three roles. Control is the session you talk to: it writes the design, waits for your approval, starts the other sessions, and opens the pull request. The implementer is a worker session that makes the change. The reviewer is a separate worker session that checks the change independently before the pull request. A Spike mode investigates only, with no delivery run.
Choosing Harnesses for Each Role
The README lists compatibility per role for Claude Code, Codex CLI, Grok Build, Antigravity CLI, Kiro CLI, Cursor Agent CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OMP, and Pi, with notes on caveats. Kiro CLI workers do not start in Orca. Running dely:setup lets you pin the harness, model, and effort for the implementer and reviewer. Pins are stored in .dely/pins.json for the team (committed) or .dely/local/pins.json for personal use. If no pin applies, the phase runs on Control's harness with its defaults.
Setup Path
Install the Orca desktop app, register its CLI, and enable orchestration under Settings. Then install Dely only in the harness used as Control, through that harness's plugin marketplace or install command; Node 18 or newer is required. Invoke dely:delivery to request a change or dely:setup to configure pins. A pinned OMP or Pi worker also needs Dely installed in that harness to load dely-pin.ts.
Logging
An optional machine-local JSON Lines log at ~/.dely/log.jsonl is enabled only if the ~/.dely/ directory exists. It can contain sensitive content such as worker screen output.
