How the Environment Works

Each workspace is one or more VMs provisioned from a recipe — a reusable Ansible role that installs languages, databases, services, and CLI tools. The site lists over 100 recipes and 300+ tools, including Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Prometheus, Grafana, and VS Code. Boxes connect over a private mesh network; SSH and port access flow through authenticated proxies so workspaces never sit on the open internet. AI Literacy Scoring

A distinctive feature of EasyEnv Interview is its AI literacy framework. Hiring teams can choose to block AI, allow it, or actively score how candidates use it. When AI is enabled, candidates pick from models including Claude Sonnet, GPT-4o, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Llama 3.3, and others directly inside the workspace. The platform tracks and scores AI usage in real time across four pillars:

Data and Compliance

According to the EasyEnv privacy and support pages, workspaces and recordings are stored in the EU. Candidates consent to recording before sessions start, and right-to-be-forgotten requests are honored within seven days. Enterprise plans include a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
