Ellipsis provides an AI software engineer that reviews pull requests, suggests and implements bug fixes, summarizes recent code changes, and answers questions about your codebase. It runs as a hosted web application that integrates with GitHub for automated and on-demand reviews and with Slack for notifications. Teams purchase per-developer licenses and can try Ellipsis with a 7-day free trial.

• Code Review — Automatically reviews pull requests and leaves contextual comments on diffs; enable automatic reviews or request a single review by mentioning @ellipsis in a PR.
• Bug Fixes — Identifies likely bugs and suggests or generates fixes; use the web dashboard to apply or review suggested changes before merging.
• Pull Request Summaries — Produces concise summaries of recent changes to speed onboarding and reviews; view summaries in the PR or in the Ellipsis dashboard.
• Code Generation & Implementation Plans — Generates implementation suggestions and code snippets to address requested changes; open the relevant PR or ask questions in the dashboard to get proposals.
• Question & Answer — Ask natural-language questions about the codebase via the app or PR comments to get explanations, reasoning, and references.
• Workflows & Integrations — Configure React, cron, and tag-based workflows and integrate with Slack for alerts; connect GitHub via OAuth to enable automatic reviews and license checks.

Getting started: sign in with GitHub, connect your repository, and enable automatic reviews or leave a PR comment to trigger a one-off review. Manage licenses and permissions in Settings > Billing and Permissions.
