About Gumloop
Gumloop is an enterprise AI agent platform founded in April 2023 by Max Brodeur-Urbas and Rahul (co-founder/CTO), originally launched as AgentHub. The platform lets non-technical and technical team members alike build, deploy, and manage AI agents that connect to over 100 tools — no coding required. Gumloop announced a $50M Series B led by Benchmark, signaling significant investor confidence in its enterprise automation approach.
What It Is
Gumloop is a no-code/low-code AI agent builder and orchestration platform designed to make automation accessible to every person in an organization, not just engineers. Users describe tasks in plain language, and Gumloop's agents execute them by connecting to internal and external data sources, SaaS tools, and communication platforms. The platform positions itself as an operating system for enterprise AI automation, combining agent building, multi-agent orchestration, governance, and a security layer called Gumstack into a single offering.
How the Agent-Building Workflow Works
Gumloop provides a visual canvas for building and orchestrating multi-agent workflows. Teams can:
- Launch pre-built agents for common use cases (CRM, meeting prep, data analysis, lead generation, SEO, support triage, and more)
- Build custom agents using a drag-and-drop interface connected to 100+ integrations
- Set recurring triggers so agents run on schedules or in response to events (form submissions, Slack messages, emails)
- Interact with agents directly in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Gmail by tagging @Gumloop — no new tab required
- Use a canvas to orchestrate multi-agent workflows where specialized agents hand off tasks to one another
The platform supports every major AI model out of the box — Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek — with no vendor lock-in, and users can bring their own API keys.
Enterprise Security and Governance
Gumloop is built with enterprise security requirements in mind and is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant. Key enterprise controls include:
- Role-based access control (RBAC): Manage reusable roles, shared credentials, and secrets with scoped permissions
- SAML SSO & SCIM provisioning: Integrate with existing identity platforms (e.g., Okta)
- Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) deployment: Run Gumloop inside your own cloud environment
- Zero Data Retention: Gumloop states it never uses customer data to train AI models, and maintains ZDR agreements and DPAs with third-party model providers
- Audit logging: Detailed trails for all actions across the organization
- AI model access control: Restrict which models teams can use and enforce spend policies
- App policies and guardrails: Write plain-English rules to block, tag, or log agent actions before they run
Gumstack: The AI Security Layer
Gumstack is a companion product — an AI gateway that monitors, audits, and analyzes all AI activity across an organization, not just within Gumloop itself. It tracks every MCP (Model Context Protocol) client and server call through a single logging and analytics layer, supports SSO and SCIM with identity providers, and can run in Gumloop's cloud or inside a customer's own VPC. The enterprise page describes Gumstack as "a single pane of glass across all platforms" for AI governance.
Origin Story and Product Evolution
According to the company's published handbook, Gumloop started as a UI wrapper around AutoGPT in 2023, letting non-technical users run autonomous agents in a browser. When early models proved insufficient for reliable agent tasks, the team pivoted to a workflow automation builder — described internally as "an AI-native Zapier on steroids." The handbook states the platform automated over 800 million tasks before agents were reintroduced as models improved. The company went through Y Combinator and has offices in San Francisco and Vancouver.
Update: $50M Series B and Enterprise Expansion
Gumloop's homepage and blog prominently announce a $50M Series B led by Benchmark. The current product reflects a significant expansion beyond workflow automation into a full enterprise agent platform, with Gumstack as a new security layer, MCP server hosting and proxying, and a CLI and developer SDK. The pricing page shows a credit-based model with a free tier, a Pro tier starting at $37/month (with a 20% annual discount), and a custom Enterprise tier with VPC, SCIM/SAML, audit logs, and advanced governance features.
