How Building Works
An AI assistant and Copilot turn plain-language prompts into nodes, connections, and JavaScript, and can explain or help debug existing scenarios. Users can write custom code with NPM packages, package logic into reusable custom nodes, or use a headless browser to automate sites that have no API. Built-in data tables, a database, and RAG storage mean no external Postgres or vector database is needed. Webhooks support sync or async responses, and retries and failure branches handle errors.
Agents, MCP and App Building
An AI Agent node decides which tools to call within a scenario, and ready-made sales, support, research, and voice agent templates are offered. MCP Connectors link agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to 800+ apps, while MCP Builder lets those agents build workflows that run in Latenode's cloud. Newer products include Latenode Agent and an AI App Builder that creates web apps from chat with hosting and a database built in.
