Matimo

Matimo is an Agent Operations Platform (AOP) built by Roaiq Technologies, combining a no-code visual canvas with a policy-governed execution runtime so teams can build and trust AI agents from a single product. The open-source tool layer (Matimo OSS) is MIT-licensed on GitHub, while Matimo Workbench is the hosted platform built on top of it. Reasoning and Self-Extension

Rather than a fixed script, Matimo agents choose from 16 distinct reasoning strategies — including ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thoughts, Reflexion, Plan & Execute, and multi-agent approaches — adapting to cases a flowchart never anticipated. A notable capability is agent self-extension: an agent can propose a new tool definition in YAML at runtime using the matimo_create_tool meta-tool, which then goes through policy validation and human approval before hot-reloading into the live system without a restart. The platform ships with 490+ pre-built tools across providers including Slack, Gmail, GitHub, HubSpot, Notion, Postgres, Twilio, and Mailchimp, plus a governed wrapper around Composio's catalog of 449 additional tools.

Matimo OSS is the MIT-licensed foundation available on GitHub under the tallclub/matimo repository. It supports TypeScript (Node.js 18+) and Python (3.11+) SDKs with full feature parity, and a single YAML tool definition runs unmodified across LangChain, CrewAI, Claude MCP, and OpenAI. Four integration patterns are documented: factory pattern, decorator/class-based pattern, LangChain integration, and an MCP server mode (npx matimo mcp) that exposes the full tool catalog to Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, or any MCP-compatible client.
