About nomore
nomore is an open-source project from the globalmpc organization that helps Claude Code users stop repeating the same instructions. It pairs a downloadable pack of 20 CLAUDE.md rules with a local CLI that finds instructions you repeat across your own sessions. The latest listed release is v0.1.0, and the CLI is labeled a preview.
What It Is
nomore is a tool for maintaining CLAUDE.md files, the instruction files Claude Code reads. It has two parts: a ready-made rule pack and a command-line tool that suggests rules based on your own session history.
The Rule Pack
The README says the rules come from reading nearly 10,000 Claude Code GitHub issues. The most-reacted model-behavior complaints were grouped and ranked, and 20 behaviors that a CLAUDE.md rule can change were picked by hand. Each rule links to the issue behind it. Examples include avoiding unnecessary code comments, avoiding destructive git commands without permission, and keeping typographic characters as written. You download a single markdown file and reference it from CLAUDE.md with an @ import, or place it in ~/.claude/ to apply it to every project.
The CLI Workflow
Running npx @globalmpc/nomore scans Claude Code transcripts from sessions active in the last 30 days and lists instructions you repeat. The --apply flag lets you accept, reject, or edit suggestions one by one before they are added to CLAUDE.md. The --project flag limits the scan to a single project, and --card prints a short totals-only summary to share. Rules you already have, including those in @-imported files, are recognized.
Privacy and Limits
The CLI runs locally on Node 20+, sends nothing anywhere, and writes only the CLAUDE.md you choose plus a small log of adopted rules. The README notes that most repeated phrases are tasks rather than lasting preferences, and that about a third of suggestions on the authors' team sessions were real rules. Filters are tuned for English, Korean and Indonesian.
