About Outreachr
Outreachr is a free, open-source fundraising operating system built for founders raising pre-seed, seed, or Series A rounds. It runs entirely on the founder's desktop as a local-first Electron app, storing all data in a private SQLite vault with no hosted account or subscription required. The project is licensed under Apache-2.0 and published by GitHub user lalalune.
What It Is
Outreachr is a local-first investor CRM that consolidates investor research, target ranking, introductions, one-to-one outreach, meetings, diligence tracking, and committed capital into a single founder-owned workspace. Unlike cloud-based CRMs, it has no application server and no product account — the canonical workspace lives entirely on the founder's machine, with secrets encrypted via the operating-system credential facility and private backups password-encrypted.
How the Fundraising Workflow Works
Outreachr covers the full fundraising lifecycle in a structured sequence:
- Investor discovery: Search 192 bundled investor targets spanning VC firms, angels, scouts, solo GPs, accelerators, crypto funds, and other investor types. Each target is ranked against stage, sector, geography, and published check evidence, with reasons shown beside every score.
- Evidence review: Inspect portfolio examples, partner records, check ranges, source URLs, observation dates, confidence levels, and redistribution rights — not just a score.
- Pipeline management: Move firms through research, introductions, meetings, diligence, soft circle, commitment, pass, or not-now stages, with local round coverage updating as expected checks are added.
- Deliberate outreach: Draft, edit, approve, and send one initial message per canonical person through Gmail or Outlook. The tool enforces a hard limit of one unsolicited initial message and does not dispatch follow-ups automatically.
- Meeting and diligence prep: Create local or provider-backed calendar events, select attendees, manage agendas and notes, track document links, and control disclosure.
Local-First Architecture and Privacy Model
Data leaves the device only for founder-initiated integration actions: sending an approved email, creating or syncing a calendar event, reconciling mailbox history, opening an external source, or sharing explicitly selected context with an AI agent. The send path enforces exact-content approval bound to recipient, sender, subject, and body. Additional safeguards include a founder pause switch, hourly and daily limits, domain pacing, suppressions, and a visible sender footer. Security activity is logged in an append-only, SHA-256 hash-chained format for local verification and export.
AI Agent Integration
Outreachr supports OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude as constrained collaborators. Founders choose which local context an agent may read, then review typed proposals for drafts, research, tasks, and pipeline changes. Agents cannot send email or bypass founder approval — all external actions remain proposal-only. Codex connects through the official local ChatGPT sign-in flow; Claude connects through a founder-owned API key or an existing local subscription session when Anthropic has approved that third-party deployment.
Integrations and Optional Providers
Every integration is optional; the core workspace, pipeline, lists, tasks, knowledge base, documents, backups, and contribution tools work without any connected provider. Available integrations include:
- Gmail and Google Calendar via founder-created desktop OAuth credentials
- Outlook and Microsoft Calendar via founder-created public-client credentials
- OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude for AI-assisted drafting and research
