About Radar by Skyhook
Radar is an open-source Kubernetes UI built by the platform team at Skyhook, licensed under Apache 2.0 and distributed as a single ~30MB binary. It provides live topology graphs, event timelines, Helm release management, GitOps visibility, image filesystem browsing, cluster audits, and an MCP server for AI agent integration. Run it locally against any kubeconfig, deploy it in-cluster via Helm, or connect it to Radar Cloud for fleet-wide visibility, persistent retention, SSO, and routed alerts.
- Live topology graph — Install Radar and open the topology view to see every Deployment, Service, and Ingress as a real-time ELK.js-laid-out graph with traffic flows and TLS health.
- Event timeline — Browse every Kubernetes event and resource delta beyond the default 1-hour TTL, with persistent retention in Radar Cloud.
- Image filesystem viewer — Inspect any container image's filesystem layer by layer without kubectl exec or docker access.
- Cluster audit — Run 30 best-practice checks labeled by compliance framework directly from the UI.
- Helm & GitOps support — View every Helm release, revision, and value file; roll back with a click. Native ArgoCD and Flux sync state visibility included.
- MCP / AI integration — Wire Radar into Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other MCP-aware tools so AI agents can safely query live cluster data.
- Fleet-wide search — Search any resource by name, label, or kind across every connected cluster from a single bar (Radar Cloud).
- SSO + scoped RBAC — Google, GitHub, SAML/OIDC login with per-cluster or per-namespace role scoping and SCIM 2.0 provisioning (Team/Enterprise).
- Notifications — Route alerts to Slack, PagerDuty, MS Teams, or webhooks with per-cluster routing and suppression windows.
- Single binary, no sidecars — Install via Homebrew, curl, Krew, Scoop, or Helm; no agents or sidecars required in the cluster.
