About Reviu
Reviu is a native desktop app by Joris Gallot for managing coding-agent sessions. It launches the agent CLI you already use, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini, lets you review each diff locally, and sends line comments back to the agent. From there you can stage, rebase, commit, push, and open a pull request.
What It Is
Reviu is a review and Git workspace for code written by AI coding agents. Each task becomes a durable session with its own conversation, branch or worktree, terminal, checkpoints, file edits, and review queue. The agent runs as a local process on your machine, and the app does not run agents in the cloud.
The Review Loop
An agent works in its own branch or isolated worktree. You inspect the local diff before commit, select line comments, and batch them into a single prompt that includes file, line, and side context. Activity states show whether sessions are running, waiting, failed, or ready for review. Parallel worktrees keep simultaneous agent tasks out of your main checkout.
Git and GitHub Handoff
Reviu keeps Git close to the diff. It supports hunk staging, interactive rebase (squash, fixup, drop, reorder), conflict resolution, stash, cherry-pick, history, and a command palette for commit, amend, push, and force push with lease. The Pro tier adds a GitHub pull request dock with checks, review threads, merge options, an inbox, and a browser extension that opens a pull request branch locally in Reviu.
Platforms and Setup
Reviu is built in Rust with the GPUI framework, without Electron or a webview. It ships for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows (x64 and ARM64), and Linux via an install script. Local sessions need no account; sign-in is only needed for the GitHub features. It supports agents from the Agent Client Protocol registry. Mobile access and remote over SSH are listed as planned.
