About Testifly
Testifly is an autonomous AI QA product for web applications from the company Testifly. The user supplies a web app URL, and Testifly discovers real user flows, builds end-to-end tests for them, and runs them on every deploy and on a schedule. It is aimed at small teams without a dedicated QA engineer.
What It Is
Testifly is an AI-driven end-to-end testing service for web apps. Instead of writing scripts, selectors, or test cases, the user connects a URL and Testifly explores the live application the way a user would, mapping flows such as signup or checkout. If the app requires login, Testifly handles password, social, magic link, or custom login methods. According to its FAQ, results from discovery typically come back in about 15 minutes.
How the QA Cycle Works
Discovered flows run across environments and releases, including CI/CD pipelines through a Test Execution API. When a feature's behavior changes, Testifly updates the relevant tests; when only the UI changes, it heals broken selectors. Failed runs return root-cause analysis with session video, and the product also describes UX convention checks and bug detection. Tests can also be generated from Jira, Linear, or Notion items and uploaded documents.
Integrations and Assistant
Testifly connects to Jira, Linear, Notion, and Slack, and exposes an MCP server for MCP-enabled AI assistants, along with a blast-radius function. Reports can be sent by email or synced to issue trackers. An in-app assistant called Tessa answers questions about a project's tests and can draft tests or link Jira issues.
Security and Hosting
Testifly states that test passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a project-specific key and again by Azure Key Vault, and are decrypted in memory only during a test run. Hosting options listed include cloud, on-prem, and self-hosted behind a firewall, with remote runners documented.
