3AM, from 3AM Super Intelligence Inc., is an on-prem AI on-call engineer aimed at regulated enterprises such as banks, insurers, telcos and the public sector. It reads alerts, logs, metrics, changes and CMDB data, proves the root cause with read-only checks against live systems, and then proposes a fix that a human approves.

What It Is

3AM sits between monitoring or paging tools and production systems. The site describes a four-step flow: detect, prove, approve, verify. Read-only checks run against live systems, and per the homepage only live evidence can authorise a fix. Each fix is rehearsed with a dry run before approval is requested.

Approvals happen in tools teams already use, including Slack, Symphony, PagerDuty, phone or e-mail. After execution, checks are re-run to verify the incident has cleared and a ticket is updated.

Autonomy and control

Every service starts in shadow mode, where 3AM proposes and records but changes nothing. Autonomy is granted service by service; raising it requires two approvers, while lowering it is instant. The homepage also lists approval quorums, budgets and a global halt.

Audit and deployment model

Every signal, check, approval and action is written to a hash-chained, signed ledger that can be exported to a SIEM via syslog (Splunk, QRadar or others). 3AM runs on-prem or air-gapped with no inbound ports; the site says only a signed licence check reaches the vendor, and secrets are redacted before anything is written.

3AM states that measured results come from a production-grade core-banking estate under live fault injection, citing a median of 3m 42s from page to verified fix with one human tap, and zero harmful actions as a release gate.
