About Ada
Ada is an AI-native company, founded in 2016 in Toronto, that offers an agentic customer experience (ACX) platform for building, deploying, and improving AI customer service agents. The platform covers voice, messaging, and email channels and is aimed at enterprises in industries such as financial services, travel, SaaS, ecommerce, insurance, and gaming.
What It Is
Ada's ACX Platform is a customer service automation product in which AI agents resolve customer inquiries and take actions in business systems. The vendor describes four core modules: a Reasoning Engine, a Conversation Hub, a Performance Center, and a Developer Toolkit. Ada states that its platform resolves 84% of customer inquiries autonomously, a vendor-published figure.
How the Platform Works
The Reasoning Engine is a shared intelligence layer that uses LLMs, business logic, policies, knowledge bases, SOPs, and APIs, with multiple layers of safeguards. The Conversation Hub deploys the same agent across voice, email, chat, Messenger, WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, in-app, and custom channels and languages. The Performance Center covers building, launching, scaling, and improving an agent. It includes Playbooks (multi-step SOP workflows), Coaching (feedback on past conversations applied to future ones), and Simulations for testing changes before they go live.
Ada Computer and Developer Toolkit
Ada Computer lets the agent act in a company's systems through three kinds of tools: API tools, sandboxed Python code tools for policy logic such as refunds and eligibility, and MCP tools discovered from a connected MCP server and enabled individually. The Developer Toolkit provides APIs, SDKs, and an MCP Server for managing the agent from AI workspaces such as Claude or ChatGPT. Listed integrations include Amazon Connect, Freshworks, Genesys, GitHub, Salesforce, Aircall, ServiceNow, Twilio Flex, and Zendesk.
Trust and Compliance
Ada lists HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI DSS, CCPA, CPRA, PIPEDA, and AIUC-1 badges. It also describes zero data retention policies with LLM providers and independent annual penetration testing that includes LLMs.
