    About Agentlas OS

Agentlas OS (Hephaestus) is the open-source build and routing engine from Appbridge Inc.'s Agentlas product family. It installs into hosts such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Antigravity, lets users build portable single agents or teams, and staffs specialist agents onto a task from local, private cloud, and public Hub sources. The latest release listed is v1.2.67 under the Apache-2.0 license.

    What It Is

Agentlas OS is an agent build-and-routing layer that runs inside the agent host you already use. The README describes three layers: the LLM reasons, the runtime provides tools, and the agent package carries the method. Commands such as /agentlas build, /agentlas network, /agentlas hub, /agentlas cloud and /agentlas local let users build agents and pull in specialists.

    How Staffing Works

A request is split into tasks with roles, handoff order, and the artifact each owes. Candidates come back for each task from the local machine, the owner's private Agent Cloud, and the public Hub, and the README states the list carries no ranking; the host model chooses and the reason is recorded. Selected releases are pinned by digest, and planning, work, synthesis and verification run as separate invocations, with an independent verifier required before work counts as done.

    Building Your Own Specialist

/hep-build turns a sentence into a portable agent or team package, and /hep-build session builds one from the current conversation after owner review. Packages ship input and output schemas, a routing card, memory and permission files, and evaluation plans, checked with hephaestus contract verify. Agents can be saved to a private Agent Cloud or published to the free Hub.

    Setup Path

A one-line shell installer writes to the home directory without sudo, verifies the release archive's SHA-256, and registers adapters for the hosts it finds. Afterwards hephaestus doctor reports what is wired. Agentlas Desktop is a separate GUI app for macOS, Windows and Linux that runs the same engine. Anonymous build telemetry is described in the README and can be disabled via environment variables.
