About Credo AI
Credo AI is an enterprise AI governance platform from Credo.AI Corp. It lets organizations discover and register AI systems, assess risk, apply policy packs for regulations, and monitor AI in production. The company says it created the AI governance category and now focuses on governing agents.
What It Is
Credo AI is a software platform for governing agents, models, applications and third-party AI vendors across their lifecycle. Teams use it to build a central AI registry, detect shadow AI, classify risk, and generate audit-ready evidence. A governance knowledge graph combines regulatory intelligence with business context, so the controls applied depend on how and where each system is used. Credo AI also offers advisory services alongside the platform.
How the Platform Works
The site describes modules for AI Registry and Discovery, Risk Intelligence, a Compliance and Policy Engine, and runtime Governance. The registry includes agent cards covering purpose, tools, data sources and guardrails, plus dependency mapping across agents, models, tools and data. Risk Intelligence includes an agentic risk and control library, aggregate risk scoring, and automated red-teaming and drift detection. The policy engine provides pre-built packs for the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001 and SOC 2, with approval workflows and evidence generation. Enforcement integration with CI/CD and API gateways is described as planned.
Agent Governance and GAIA
Credo AI frames agent governance in three phases: discover and register, assess and deploy, and monitor and respond. Monitoring ingests agent traces, evaluates them continuously, and escalates high-risk actions to humans. GAIA (Govern AI Assistant) is an AI assistant for governance tasks such as evidence retrieval, risk assessment, remediation and governance planning, with intake and registration support. An Agent Governor is listed as a research preview.
Integrations
The platform connects with cloud and data platforms, agent frameworks, GRC tools and developer tools, including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, Jira, GitHub and MLflow. Custom APIs, webhooks and SDKs are also listed.
