Gitsu

Gitsu is made by Coduo Studio LLC. It is a native macOS client for GitHub Projects v2, with a free web app, for keyboard-first issue triage, planning and execution. Issues stay in GitHub rather than being migrated to a separate tracker.

What It Is

Gitsu is a GitHub-native issue tracking interface layered over GitHub Issues and GitHub Projects. It offers Kanban, List and Roadmap views over the same project, saved views that store a filter, grouping and sort, bulk edits for status, assignee, labels or milestone, issue templates, and a menu bar app. Changes appear on screen immediately and sync to GitHub in the background, and the desktop app works from a local cache.

Agents on the same board

The desktop app includes an agent panel for running coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex beside the board. When an agent starts on an issue it is shown on the board, and linked PRs appear on the issue when work lands. Agent suggestions to issues are not written unless the user accepts them, and a Settings switch controls agent writes. The site also describes Claude-based mods for custom commands and automations.

Gitsu MCP

The Gitsu MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or other MCP clients list, create, update and close issues. The site says reads work with the app closed. The features pages describe 15 tools: board reads, a status check, writes relayed to the desktop app, and an MCP Apps link tool.

Migration and data

A migration tool imports issues from other trackers such as Linear into GitHub, and they then show up in Gitsu. The site states that data stays in the user's GitHub account.
