Kobbe

Kobbe is a privacy-first web analytics tool built for developers and product teams who want traffic and revenue insights without building visitor profiles or storing raw IP addresses. It ships with a 1.8 KB gzip tracker that is cookieless by default, GDPR-ready, and respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals out of the box. The platform is made in the Åland Islands and positions itself as a lightweight alternative to tools like Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, and Umami.

What It Is

Kobbe is a SaaS web analytics dashboard that collects pageviews, custom events, referrers, locations, devices, and revenue data from a single script tag. It derives a daily rotating, non-reversible visitor identifier from minimized request data — no analytics cookies, no persistent browser-side identifiers, and no raw IP storage in the application database. The dashboard surfaces traffic KPIs, funnel drop-off rates, conversion tracking, Core Web Vitals, and payment revenue side by side, all scoped per site within a single workspace.

Core Feature Set

Kobbe organizes its capabilities into several distinct areas:

• Traffic overview: Visitors, visits, views, bounce rate, session time, and trend comparisons against previous periods or custom ranges.
• Breakdowns: Top pages, entry/exit pages, referrers, channels, AI traffic grouping, locations, devices, and Google Search Console integration for organic query data.
• Events and funnels: Custom events, auto-tracked conversions (outbound links, form submits, contact clicks), scroll visibility events, and multi-step funnels with per-step drop-off rates.
• Revenue attribution: Connect Stripe, Polar, Paddle, or Creem payment webhooks; revenue appears beside pages, sources, and campaigns using tab-scoped attribution without long-lived visitor profiles.
• Performance: Real-user Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS, FCP, TTFB) with percentile trends, slow-page identification, and environment breakdowns — opt-in.
• Privacy controls: Bot filtering, visit exclusions by IP/hostname/path/country, UTM campaign opt-in, and cross-domain tracking opt-in with explicit hostname allowlists.

Setup Path and Integrations

Kobbe publishes step-by-step install guides for Astro, Next.js, React Router, Vue, Laravel, Django, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Ghost, Shopify, WooCommerce, Bubble, Podia, Kajabi, Wix, Squarespace, Lovable, Bolt, Vercel v0, Replit, and Google Tag Manager. The tracker loads asynchronously and avoids blocking the critical rendering path. Advanced features — first-party collect via CNAME, hash route tracking, cross-domain tracking, UTM campaigns, scroll visibility, and Web Vitals — are all opt-in via script options.

CLI and MCP Access

Kobbe ships a CLI package (@kobbe/cli) installable via npm that lets developers inspect analytics, traffic, revenue, and site health from the terminal. The same package runs in MCP mode, making Kobbe queryable by MCP-compatible AI editors and agents including Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Zed, OpenCode, Roo Code, and Windsurf. This means developers can ask natural-language questions about their traffic directly inside their coding environment.

Sharing and Team Workflows

Teams can invite members to view project dashboards with scoped access, create public read-only dashboard links with optional expiry for clients or stakeholders, download branded chart images for social posts, and opt into monthly email reports summarizing traffic, top pages, sources, and revenue. Traffic alerts notify owners when traffic spikes or drops sharply against a site's recent baseline.

Data Portability and Compliance

Kobbe supports CSV export of pageviews and custom events, and allows importing historical data from Plausible, Fathom, or Umami exports. The platform publishes a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) incorporated into its Terms of Service, along with GDPR documentation and a privacy policy. Paid workspaces retain analytics data for as long as the workspace remains active.
