About Lody
Lody is a team workspace for coding agents, developed by LodyAI and available as desktop, iOS, Android, web, and CLI clients. It connects agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, and OpenCode, or any agent that speaks the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), so teammates can share sessions, review diffs, and dispatch work from one place. The source is published on GitHub under Apache License 2.0.
What It Is
Lody is a shared control plane for coding agents that run on your own machines. Instead of replacing the agents a team already uses, it connects them through ACP and keeps the subscriptions, logins, models, and permission modes configured on each laptop, workstation, server, or cloud VM. Machines stay private until their owner shares them with the workspace.
Teammates can open the same conversation and see the transcript, runtime status, files, and code changes, then add instructions without passing around screenshots or logs.
Connecting machines and dispatching work
Running npx lody daemon start on a workstation, server, or cloud VM opens a sign-in link and keeps that machine connected to the workspace. Work can then be dispatched to any connected machine from desktop, mobile, web, a script, or CI. The CLI can also register local projects, inspect workspaces, machines, and agent configs, and create, message, list, and archive sessions, with --json output on supported commands.
Coordinating agents and reviewing code
Agents get tools to create or reuse other conversations, read their status and history, send follow-up instructions, cancel work, and bring results back. One conversation can act as a coordinator that delegates investigation, implementation, and testing to child sessions running in parallel, including across repositories and machines.
Each session can have its own Git worktree, and chats, files, diffs, terminals, and previews open as tabs. Reviewers can inspect per-turn or full-session diffs, leave line-level comments synced to GitHub PR review, and follow pull request status and CI. A live preview lets users open a running web app, switch responsive viewports, and send element-level visual annotations back to the agent.
Mobile and team features
The iOS and Android apps provide push notifications, permission approvals, diff inspection, and iOS Live Activities. Agent Roles share reusable agent, model, permission, and instruction presets, and usage views cover context, token, and quota consumption. The README says Lody is still moving toward full local-first support, built on the Loro stack.
