About Meridian
Meridian is an open-source TypeScript project from the GitHub user rynfar. It runs a local API that lets coding clients such as Pi, OpenCode and other supported clients use Claude and Antigravity through the user's own signed-in subscription. It includes a browser dashboard and an optional Mac app for managing providers, requests and usage. The latest release listed is v1.84.0.
What It Is
Meridian is a local proxy and bridge for AI coding clients. Claude requests run through Anthropic's Agent SDK, and Antigravity requests run through Google's official signed-in agy CLI. Account permissions, model availability and subscription limits still apply. Meridian translates supported client requests at the provider boundary and keeps Claude account routing and caching separate from Antigravity's CLI sessions.
Setup Path
For the Claude backend, install Node.js 22+, run npm install -g @rynfar/meridian, sign in with claude login, and start meridian, then open the local dashboard at port 3456. For OpenCode V1, meridian setup configures the client. Antigravity is a preview available from version 1.74.0, enabled through environment variables and the signed-in agy CLI. Docker and Nix deployments are documented.
Provider Capabilities
- Claude: persistent sessions, prompt caching and multiple account profiles.
- Antigravity: streaming, client tools, parallel tool batches, approvals, cancellation, conversation reuse and recovery of saved answers.
- Client APIs: Anthropic Messages, OpenAI Chat Completions and a documented Responses subset.
- Attachments: images and public HTTPS image URLs, plus documents, speech and video through local conversion.
Desktop and Monitoring
The optional Mac app manages the local service, versions, plugins and diagnostics. It shows usage limits, cache activity and request history, with Claude and Antigravity accounts and quota windows kept separate. The desktop preview targets macOS on Apple Silicon.
Current Status and Limits
Antigravity is a preview. Authenticated verification is on macOS arm64, and Linux and Windows verification is unfinished. Active-task reattachment and automatic reconciliation of uncertain tool outcomes are unfinished. The CLI does not expose exact output-token caps, numeric thinking budgets or sampling controls.
