About OpenViktor
Status: Experimental / Discontinued
OpenViktor appears to no longer be actively maintained as a standalone product. See update section below for details.
OpenViktor is an open-source AI employee platform that hires in 60 seconds and gets to work immediately. It connects to your existing stack — Slack, Gmail, Notion, GitHub, and more — ingests your org's full context on day one, and autonomously finds and executes work without waiting for prompts. Built by the HUMALIKE.AI team, OpenViktor is free forever and fully open source with no vendor lock-in.
- Hire in 60 Seconds: Connect your tools and OpenViktor is live in under 2 minutes — no IT ticket, no onboarding process required.
- Full Org Memory: Reads Slack history, meeting notes, docs, and code before its first day so it already knows your team's context, priorities, and past decisions.
- Self-Driven Execution: Monitors what's happening across your workspace, spots what needs doing, and ships it — without waiting for a prompt.
- Own Identity: Gets its own email address and Slack handle, appears in your team directory, and operates as a real team member.
- Parallel Execution: Handles multiple tasks simultaneously — drafting campaigns, filing bugs, pulling data, sending follow-ups — all running 24/7.
- Persistent Memory: Retains decisions, commitments, and context from months ago — including side-channel decisions never formally written down.
- Integrations with Your Stack: Connects to Slack, Gmail, Notion, GitHub, Linear, Stripe, and more for real access, not a sandbox.
- Open Source & Free Forever: Core source code is fully open, with no pricing tiers, no vendor lock-in, and no monthly cost.
What It Is
OpenViktor is part of a new wave of agent-style tools that behave less like chatbots and more like autonomous teammates. Instead of waiting for instructions, it operates continuously in the background — observing, deciding, and executing work across connected systems.
Why It Got Attention
OpenViktor spread quickly because it showed how fast an “AI employee” product could be recreated and deployed. It positioned itself as an open alternative to commercial agent platforms, highlighting how quickly this category is evolving and how accessible these systems are becoming.
Current Status
OpenViktor’s current status is unclear. After early traction, there were reports of instability and removed listings, along with community discussion about how closely it mirrors existing commercial tools. It is best viewed as an experimental project rather than a stable production-ready platform.
Update
OpenViktor appears to have been discontinued as a standalone public product.
The HUMALIKE team later stated that OpenViktor was no longer available and that the website, repository, and related content had been taken down while they built something new.
That new direction appears to be Jared, a product launched shortly afterward by the same team. Public statements from the makers describe Jared as a rebuild of the OpenViktor concept, now repositioned around HUMALIKE’s broader “social agent” platform — with added focus on understanding group dynamics, deciding when to act, and behaving more like a real coworker inside team environments.
As a result, OpenViktor is best understood as an early public iteration in a lineage that now points toward Jared and the HUMALIKE/HUMA platform.
Why It Matters
OpenViktor is less about the tool itself and more about what it represents.
It highlights a shift in AI development where complex agent systems can be rapidly reproduced and deployed. As these systems become easier to build, long-term differentiation is likely to come from proprietary data, workflow design, and system integration — not just the interface or feature set.
