Playground is a web-based AI design platform that lets users generate and edit images for a wide range of creative projects — from logos and posters to stickers, wallpapers, and social media posts. It combines generative AI image models with a template-driven design workflow, making it accessible to both casual creators and more experienced designers. The platform is available on web and iOS.

What It Is

Playground sits at the intersection of AI image generation and graphic design tooling. Rather than offering a raw text-to-image prompt interface alone, it wraps generative capabilities inside a structured design environment with category templates (art, stickers, wallpapers, posters, T-shirts, monograms, social posts, e-book covers, cards, patterns, mockups, and memes). Users can start from a template or generate from scratch, then refine with image tools like background removal, upscaling, AI resize, and file conversion.

Core Image Models

Playground hosts and surfaces several of its own generative models alongside third-party integrations:

• GPT Image 2 — a model accessible directly from the platform
• Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro — Playground's own model variants
• Playground v3 — a prior generation model still available on the platform

This multi-model approach lets users choose between different generation styles and quality levels within the same interface.

Design Workflow and Templates

The platform is organized around design categories rather than open-ended prompting. Users pick a category (logo, poster, sticker, etc.), browse or search templates, and then apply AI generation or editing tools to customize the result. Image tools available include:

Playground is accessible via web browser and has a dedicated iOS app (available on the App Store as "Playground – AI Art Generator"). The combination of web and mobile access makes it usable across devices, with the iOS app extending generation and design capabilities to phones and tablets.
