About pulls.review
pulls.review is an open-source tool by Anthony Fu (antfu) for reviewing GitHub pull requests. It groups changed files into logical scopes, summarizes what matters in each, and lets reviewers work through them one scope at a time. The site states that everything works locally in your browser. The README marks the project as heavily work in progress.
What It Is
A pull request review aid. You paste a GitHub pull request URL, or upload or paste a unified diff, or drop a .diff or .patch file onto the page. The tool then organizes the changed files into groups with a summary and line-change counts for each group. The README credits Linear's PR review guides as inspiration.
Ways to Use It
- Website: open pulls.review and review a pull request directly in the browser.
- Userscript: with Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey, a pulls.review drawer appears on every GitHub pull request page.
- Bookmarklet: opens the current pull request on pulls.review and back again, for people who cannot install extensions.
- Local diffs: review a diff without a PR by uploading or pasting it.
- CLI: the homepage describes reviewing a working tree, commit or branch before pushing. The README says the standalone CLI is not implemented yet and the name is reserved.
CI Analysis with GitHub Actions
An experimental GitHub Action analyzes each pull request once and posts the result as a PR comment. pulls.review picks the comment up for everyone who opens the PR there, so reviewers do not each need a model key. Re-runs on an unchanged PR skip the model call. The provider can be a Vercel AI Gateway token, Anthropic, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint with a base URL, and model and locale are configurable. The same logic is available as the @pulls.review/actions CLI.
Code Structure
The monorepo contains the app (the site and the github.com embed), @pulls.review/core for fetching, parsing, grouping and summarizing diffs in the browser or Node, and @pulls.review/actions, the CLI the Action runs. It is released under the MIT license.
