About The Brains
The Brains turns founders, CEOs and investors into searchable MCP servers built from their public talks, essays and posts. Each brain is a public MCP URL that can be added to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or Codex, and answers cite their original sources. It is made by Vic (VicPitic), and the code is open source on GitHub.
What It Is
The Brains is a directory of curated knowledge bases exposed over the Model Context Protocol. Each brain holds a selected set of long-form sources and hand-picked posts filtered to the person's principles on growth, distribution, pricing and building a business. The homepage lists 39 brains and 8,154 cited sources, while the README badge shows 42. Brains are unofficial and built only from public content unless marked as claimed.
How to Use a Brain
Every brain is served at an MCP URL of the form mcp.brains.ceo//mcp, and a single combined connector exposes all brains with list_brains, search_brains and list_sources tools. A single brain offers search_brain, which returns passages with source links and dates, and list_sources. Clients such as Claude Code and Codex add it with a command, while Cursor, Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT use a custom MCP server or connector. The first connection opens a sign-in with an email and a 6-digit code.
How Brains Are Built
The pipeline discovers candidate sources, has a Claude agent curate a shortlist, fetches transcripts and text, writes summary cards and sectioned third-person notes, builds a BM25 index, and generates a manifest with principles and sample Q&A. The server is an Express app in TypeScript that serves the website, stateless Streamable HTTP MCP endpoints and OAuth 2.1 sign-in. The repository can be cloned and run locally with npm.
Content and Takedowns
The repository contains only derived summaries and short quotes, not raw transcripts. People featured can email to claim, correct or remove their brain.
