About vibivibi
vibivibi is a service with a command-line client, vibi, for backing up, moving and sharing coding agent sessions. It supports Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode and Pi, and encrypts sessions on the user's machine so the server stores only ciphertext.
What It Is
vibivibi backs up the agent's own session file, the full transcript with its original session id, as an encrypted version. Running vibi push in a project directory lists the sessions started there. The user picks one to sync for themselves or send to someone else. On another enrolled machine, vibi pull installs the session where the agent expects it, so resuming continues with the full history. For OpenCode, the client uses opencode export and opencode import.
Sharing with teammates
Choosing Send and entering an email wraps the session key for the recipient's public key on the sender's machine. Sending an already stored session adds one wrapped key without re-uploading. Recipients need an account and one enrolled machine, and unregistered recipients can be sent an invitation. Every push keeps earlier versions, and teams can pool storage.
Encryption model
An X25519 key pair is generated at vibi enroll. The private key is wrapped with AES-256-GCM under a key derived from the password via scrypt. Each session gets a fresh 256-bit content key that encrypts the transcript and metadata such as title, directory and model. Content keys are wrapped per recipient using ephemeral X25519 and HKDF-SHA256, and a SHA-256 hash of the ciphertext is verified after upload and before install. The server sees the agent, session id, size, timestamps, key fingerprints, recipients and an optional plain-text session name. Lost passwords cannot be recovered.
Setup path
Generate an enrollment code in the dashboard, run vibi enroll on the machine and choose a password, then push and pull sessions. Cross-agent loading, such as opening a Claude Code session in Codex, is not supported yet.
