WoWSQL

WoWSQL is a Postgres-first backend platform from WoWSQL Technologies Private Limited, based in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. It combines managed Postgres databases, authentication, storage, realtime sync, edge functions and auto-generated REST APIs behind a single dashboard. It also includes MERA, an AI assistant that turns plain-English requests into PostgreSQL queries.

What It Is

WoWSQL is a backend-as-a-service for developers who want a relational database and the surrounding services without setting up the infrastructure themselves. Each project is a full Postgres database with Row Level Security. REST APIs are generated automatically from the schema, and client SDKs let applications query data in a few lines of code.

Core Services

The platform covers authentication (email and password, magic link, anonymous sessions, TOTP-based multi-factor auth, and OAuth with Google, GitHub, Microsoft and Apple). It also offers S3-compatible file storage with CDN and transforms, realtime data subscriptions, and TypeScript edge functions. A web dashboard manages the database, users, storage and APIs.

MERA and AI Tooling

MERA generates PostgreSQL queries from natural-language descriptions, such as finding users who signed up in the last week. The docs also describe MCP integration, with configuration guides for Claude and Cursor, plus a VS Code extension.
