ALTA

ALTA (Autonomous LLM Trading Asterism) is an open-source, Apache-2.0 research project published by kyky2347 on GitHub. Execution Modes and Limits

Shadow mode manages internal fills, costs, positions, and exits without sending broker orders. Broker API mode uses a verified, explicitly selected Paper or Live account and requires separate authorization. Connectors exist for Tiger, Alpaca, IBKR, Futu, Longbridge/Longport, and Schwab. Tiger, Alpaca, IBKR, and Futu have conditional execution paths, while Longbridge and Schwab are blocked pending identity and permission proof. The README states that live-account acceptance is not established. The initial broker lifecycle supports one active plan per account, long USD stocks and ETFs, whole shares, and DAY limit orders. Stopping ALTA does not close broker positions.

Setup Path

ALTA runs on macOS or Linux and needs Node.js 22+, Python 3.12, uv, and Docker or OrbStack. Cloning the repository and running npm run dashboard builds the console and opens an authenticated loopback page. From there you connect credentials, assign models by role, start the managed services in Shadow mode, and inspect Scout records. The console is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The architecture combines a React console, a Node gateway, a Python research service, a Codex App Server harness, and PostgreSQL, with Redis for coordination.
