BrowserOS
BrowserOS is an open-source, agentic browser that turns natural language into repeatable web actions: clicking, typing, navigating and data extraction. It runs as a desktop browser for macOS, Windows and Linux, and supports cloud and local LLMs so you can choose privacy-first local inference or cloud models. BrowserOS ships with pre-installed connectors for common productivity apps and lets you run multiple models side-by-side in a split view for in-context research and automation.
- Natural-language agents — describe a task in plain English and BrowserOS automates clicking, form-filling, scraping and navigation to perform it.
- Local model support — run models locally via Ollama or LMStudio to keep data on-device and preserve privacy.
- Multi-model split view — open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or other models side-by-side on any website for summarization and drafting without leaving the page.
- Pre-installed MCP servers — connectors for Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Notion make it easy to automate workflows across apps.
- Chromium compatibility — supports Chrome extensions and imports bookmarks, passwords and extensions from Chrome.
- Privacy-first design — defaults and tooling to keep work data local; cloud model usage requires your API keys.
To get started, download the desktop build for your OS, add model credentials or install a local runtime (Ollama/LMStudio), and describe the task you want automated in the agent UI.
